Minimal English Colonial Reveal Pt. II

A Full-scale Design, Renovation & Furnishings project for our client’s family home. The original 1930s colonial had oversized colonial windows and a brick facade that had us swooning over the charming details. The team incorporated modern touches of the colonial-inspired character into the new minimalist design. The first floor features an expanded kitchen with creamy-toned cabinetry that flows effortlessly with the contrast trim in the main living and dining spaces. The multi-floor, full-gut renovation, boosts updated spatial flow, abundant sunlight, and integrated millwork storage for seamless continuity and functionality for the growing family.

The expanded living and dining spaces feature oversized colonial windows and romantic drapery that balance both the expansive and intimate atmospheres. We designed the living room to feel relaxed yet elevated by incorporating a muted palette, natural materials (such as wood and linen), and plenty of textiles to soften the space.

The dining space reflected our clients' desire to have a semi-formal space that felt casual, yet sophisticated. Anchored by a beautiful family heirloom table, we incorporated vintage chairs, soft floor-to-ceiling drapery, and a modern ceiling chandelier that offers a great night-time entertaining atmosphere. Lastly, we created a special moment with the pedestal and candle sconce that captures your eye from the living room and pulls you into this beautifully intimate space.

We rounded up our favorite accessories from our latest project!
